1. The Ethiopian National Museum

The Ethiopian National Museum is a small four-story building with a small scale, but some of the collections here are very worth seeing, especially the fossils of some ancient humans. The ancient human fossil “Lucy” is displayed in the museum. Lucy lived about 3.2 million years ago and is known as the grandmother of mankind. In addition to “Lucy”, there are two well-known human skull fossils on display here: OMO I (OMOI) and OMO II (OMOII). Omo I and Omo II lived about 195,000 years ago and are anatomically close to modern humans (present humans). These ancient human fossils are solid evidence that modern humans originated in Africa 250,000 to 150,000 years ago. In addition, the museum can also see clothing, cultural relics, utensils, paintings and other cultural relics from different regions of Ethiopia.

2. Holy Trinity Cathedral

This museum is located on BoleRoad, it was established to commemorate those who lost their lives in the military regime, MengistuHailemariam brutally killed so many innocent people, thousands of people were slaughtered innocently, what a horrible thing ! This museum offers visitors an opportunity to delve into Ethiopian history, providing anyone interested in the history of the Red Terror with very informative background and details of that tragic period.

5. Gullele Botanical Garden

Gullele Botanical Garden is one of the very few parks and green spaces in Addis. The size offers the opportunity to properly hike and enjoy nature and a good view over Addis. The part that is supposed to become a botanical garden is still to be arranged. Some spots show care and dedication, some other parts show lack of care and lack of a clear coherent concept. Fascinating place to spend a day with more than 100 birds, 15 mammals,more than 900 plant species, varied topography to stay hours or a day.
